The Banner VE Series smart cameras solve a wide range of vision and identification applications, such as item detection, part positioning, flaw analysis, quality assurance and traceability, using Banner's free Vision Manager software. They come in 5 MP (2592 x 2048), 2 MP (1600 x 1200), 1.3 MP (1280 x 1024) and WVGA (752 x 480) models, all with the same inspection and identification capabilities.
Inspections can be edited while running, and the software emulator builds and troubleshoots applications offline. An onboard display shows inspection information for fast product changeovers. Six optically isolated I/O can power and control external lighting, EtherNet/IP, Modbus/TCP, PROFINET and RS-232 connect it to the line, and the metal housing reaches IP67 with the optional lens covers.
