The Point Mobile PM560 is a pistol-grip handheld terminal built in the same body as the PM550, with new internals: a 2.0 GHz Qualcomm octa-core processor, 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage, and Android 11, upgradable to Android 14. A choice of three scan engines reads 1D and 2D barcodes, and the physical keypad, alphanumeric or numeric, gives tactile feedback even with gloves.
Wi-Fi 6 with 2x2 MU-MIMO gives faster, more secure connections, and the BLE beacon keeps transmitting for up to six months even with the device off. The 6,300 mAh battery sits in the gun handle and swaps without shutting down. It survives 1.8 m drops, is sealed to IP65 and works with PM550 cradles and chargers.
